What these numbers mean

The catalog holds far more endpoints than it shows, and the gap is the product rather than a defect. Everything ever aggregated is counted in the first number below; what survives the sweep is what the browser above lists by default. The rest failed a health probe, and a directory that keeps serving dead links is worth less than one that admits how many it found.

Where the catalog comes from

Aggregation is not neutral, and this table is the reason to say so out loud: the totals are dominated by whichever upstream feed publishes the most, not by whichever ecosystem is the busiest. Read a share of 90 percent as one aggregator having an opinion, not as a measurement of the market.

Where those endpoints live

Same caution, one layer down. A chain that carries almost the whole catalog carries almost the whole of one aggregator's crawl of it.

The four tiers, and the five health states

First-party is ours. VIP is a partner we curated by hand. Verified answered a payment challenge correctly. Listed is everything else that was aggregated and has not been checked beyond existing. On the health side: alive answered 402, auth-gated wanted credentials before it would say, degraded answered something else, quarantined stopped answering at all, and unprobeable could not be reached in a way that proves anything either way. Quarantined is not a judgement about the seller: it is a statement about a URL on the day it was probed.
